BARTLETT ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The Town of Plymouth has entered a construction contract with Lawrence-Lynch Corp. of Falmouth, MA to complete the Bartlett Road Bridge Replacement Project. The project involves replacing the existing bridge on Bartlett Road adjacent to Tidmarsh Farms.

The existing bridge/culvert on Bartlett Road is in poor condition, with posted weight limits, and limits stream flow from Fresh Pond to Beaver Dam Brook. The new bridge/culvert will eliminate public safety hazards and enhance the river function. In addition to the bridge replacement, water main and drainage improvements along with ADA compliant sidewalks will be installed within the project area.

Construction is anticipated to begin the week of December 18, 2023, with an anticipated completion date of May 2024.

Please be aware that BARTLETT ROAD BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC beginning the week of January 2, 2024 and detour routes will be signed and posted in the area.

Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, during which time various equipment, machinery, and materials will be in the roadway. No work is anticipated to occur on weekends or holidays.

The Town has retained the services of an Engineering Representative, SLR International Corporation, to observe the work of the Contractor and to act as the DPW’s liaison. Personnel will be onsite throughout the construction activities.
