Mission Statement
The mission of the Plymouth Historical Commission is to preserve, protect and document the historic architectural heritage of the Town of Plymouth. Legislated protection is provided for historic buildings located in the Plymouth Historic District in the downtown-harbor area. The Historic District is a local and national treasure of our country's architecture with a variety of examples spanning three centuries.
The Historic District Commission is comprised of nine members, that are appointed by the Select Board. and serve three-year overlapping terms.
