Plymouth Beach
Overview
The Plymouth Recreation Division is responsible for the operation of Plymouth Beach. Parks is responsible for the maintenance of the beach ramps and Mobi-mats.
Staffing
- Saturday, May 24th, 2025, through June 15th, 2025 (weekends and holidays only) Plymouth Beach will be staffed with parking attendants and lifeguards.
- Starting Thursday June 19th, 2025, Plymouth Beach will be staffed 7 days a week from 8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. through Labor Day, September 1, 2025.
Parking
A residential beach sticker or a daily parking pass is required Saturday, May 24th, 2025, through June 15th, 2025 (weekends & holidays only) and then daily Thursday June 19th through Monday September 1st, 2025, between the hours of 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. Daily passes can be purchased on the Passport Mobile Parking Application (with a credit card) or at a pay station (with cash) at Plymouth Beach. The pay stations are located at the bath house and near lifeguard chair/beach ramp #5. The parking zone for Plymouth Beach is 1616. The pay stations and the Passport Mobile Parking Zone 1616 are managed and operated by the Town of Plymouth. Parking cannot be purchased prior to arriving at the beach and refunds are not issued. Parking attendants will be in the parking lot assisting vehicles on where to park and also monitoring the lot for beach stickers, or daily parking passes. If a vehicle does not have a valid beach sticker, or purchase a daily parking pass, they will be issued a parking citation. If you have a valid residential beach sticker, you do not need to pay for a daily parking pass at the kiosk or on the Passport Mobile Parking Application.
Sandy's Parking
There are 6 dedicated spots for Sandy's restaurant visitors. Parking in these spots is available for 2 hours when the restaurant is open and does not require a sticker or daily parking pass. The 6 spots are marked with Sandy's Parking signs.
Facilities
Bathhouse is open during the hours of operation of Sandy's Restaurant. The restaurant is responsible for the maintenance of the facilities.
Beach Wheelchairs
Beach wheelchairs are stationed at Plymouth Beach and available on a first-come first-serve basis from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. when lifeguards are staffed on the beach. Ask a lifeguard for assistance using a beach wheelchair.
Rules & Regulations
- No alcohol on any beaches
- No glass containers
- No loud music
- Dogs must be on a 6ft leash (or less) and under control at all times
- No open fires
- No boats within 150 ft of a swimmer
- No jet skis in Morton, Fresh, or Hedges Pond
- No fishing in designated swimming areas during hours of operation.
- All personal flotation devices must meet Coast Guard approval
- Lifeguards have the final say in rule enforcement
- Drones & kites are not allowed on beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- No charcoal grills are allowed at any beach
