Blind Exemption (Clause 37A)
This exemption is for the legally blind.

Circuit Breaker Income Tax Credit
This exemption reduces state income taxes owed for seniors (65 years of age) whose property taxes exceed 10% of their income.

Elderly Exemption (Clause 41C)
The Elderly Exemption reduces the local property tax liability of seniors (65 years of age).

Hardship (Clause 18) (PDF)
This exemption is for financial hardship and requires that the applicant be at least 65 years old, and be suffering from infirmity and poverty.

Senior Work Program
The Senior Work Program reduces local property tax liability for seniors over 60 years of age in exchange for volunteer service to the municipality.

Surviving Minor of Fire Fighter / Police Officer (Clause 43)
This exemption reduces local property tax liability of surviving minor children of a Fire Fighter or Police Officer killed in the line of duty.

Surviving Spouse, Minor Children of Deceased Parents, Elderly
This exemption reduces local property tax liability of surviving spouse, minor children or senior.

Surviving Spouse of Fire Fighter or Police Officer (Clause 42)
This exemption reduces the local property tax liability of the surviving spouse of a Fire Fighter or Police Officer killed in the line of duty.

Tax Deferral (Clause 41A)
This deferral defers payment of local property tax owed by a senior (65 years of age) until the house is sold or the senior dies.

Veterans Exemption (Clause 22)
This exemption is for Veterans with a war-related disability or their Surviving Spouses.
