State Boat Ramp
The Leo F. DeMarsh Boat Ramp is located behind the East Bay Grill. It offers parking for both trailer and car top launching. The fee is $10 payable at the ticket machine located by the boat ramp office. The machine currently only accepts cash, $1s, $5s or $10s. You can also pay with the Passport Parking app using zone 1619. Recreational season passes are also available for $100. Season passes are valid for the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.There is no parking available for cars without boats. If you wish to walk the jetty parking is available just outside the entrance to the boat ramp lot on either side of the sewer plant. Parking is strictly enforced.
To purchase a sticker, visit the Online Payments page.
On summer weekends the lot can fill up fast so it is best to plan on arriving early. During the day it's not uncommon for there to be a delay in launching due to the availability of parking spots.
Our goal is to make launching your boat as stress-free as possible. Please be patient with others. On busy days an attendant will be on duty, please feel free to ask them for advice or assistance.
Kayaks and paddleboards can launch as well. They still need to pay the fee. Other alternatives for kayaks and paddleboards are Nelson St. and Stephen's Field. Keep an eye on the tides at both these locations as you could end up with a long muddy walk. Make sure you have a life jacket with you as well as other required and useful equipment.
If you have any questions please feel free to email the Harbormaster.
