June 24, 2024 Update: The Brook Road Bridge Construction Project is now complete. The bridge is now open to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic,
Construction began the week of March 4, 2024. Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, during which time various equipment, machinery, and materials will be in the roadway. No work is anticipated to occur on weekends or holidays.
2023
March 3, 2023 Update: MassDOT approved the use of existing Small Bridge Grant Funds for the design and construction of the proposed remediation of the Brook Road Bridge.
Project went out to bid in November 2023 and was awarded to MAS Building and Bridge, Inc.

A Public Information Session on the proposed Brook Road Bridge replacement project was held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 (PDF) at 6:30 pm in the Great Hall meeting room in Town Hall.
A 2nd Public Information Session was held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 (PDF) at 10 am in the Great Hall meeting room in Town Hall and also via PACTV and Zoom.
Effective July 7, 2021, the existing Brook Road Bridge is closed to all vehicular traffic (PDF).
